CD-RW
Rewritable optical disc
CD-RW stands for Compact Disc-Rewritable, a type of optical disc that can be written, erased, and rewritten multiple times.
Unlike standard CD-Rs, which can only be burned once, CD-RWs allowed users to treat the disc more like a floppy disk or flash drive.
The format was popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s for backups and file transfer before USB drives made it obsolete.
