DVD player
Movie disc machine
A DVD player is a device that reads and plays DVDs, the optical discs that largely replaced VHS tapes for home video in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
DVD players connect to televisions and have mostly been superseded by streaming services and Blu-ray players, though many households still own them: The DVD player is gathering dust since we got Netflix.
