DVD+R

Burnable optical media

DVD+R is a recordable optical disc format that can be written to once.

The plus sign distinguishes it from the competing DVD-R format; both store the same amount of data but use slightly different recording methods.

Most modern DVD players and drives read both formats interchangeably: I burned the home videos onto a DVD+R.
