Smoky cuisine letters
BBQ is an informal abbreviation for barbecue—the slow-cooking method using smoke and indirect heat, the food produced by it, or a social gathering centered on grilled food.
Common on restaurant signs, food packaging, and in casual writing: Kansas City BBQ, backyard BBQ this Saturday. (Lowercase bbq is the same abbreviation.)
