undocking
Separating from port
Undocking is the act of separating from a docked position.
Spacecraft undock from space stations, boats undock from piers, and laptops undock from docking stations.
The word covers both the moment of disconnection and the process of pulling away: The capsule began undocking procedures at 0600.
