siddur
Daily Jewish liturgy
A siddur is the Jewish prayer book containing the liturgy for daily and Sabbath services.
The word comes from Hebrew for "order," reflecting the structured sequence of prayers.
Most Jewish households own at least one: She followed along in her siddur during the morning service.
Different Jewish traditions—Ashkenazi, Sephardic, Reform—have their own versions with variations in text and arrangement.
