machzor
High Holiday liturgy
A machzor is a Jewish prayer book used for High Holy Day services, particularly Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
Unlike the siddur used for daily and Sabbath prayers, the machzor contains special liturgy, poetry, and penitential prayers specific to these solemn occasions: She followed along in the machzor during Kol Nidre.
