referendums
Direct democracy ballots
Referendums is the common English plural of referendum—a direct vote in which an entire electorate decides on a particular proposal or issue: Three referendums appeared on the November ballot.
The Latin plural referenda also appears, though referendums dominates in ordinary usage.
A single such vote is a referendum: The Brexit referendum divided the nation.
