referendum results
Public vote tally
Referendum results are the outcome of a direct vote on a specific political question—how the public voted on the measure.
Unlike general elections, referendum results give a clear yes-or-no verdict on a single issue: The referendum results showed 52% in favor of leaving.
Results may be binding or advisory depending on the jurisdiction.
