irregular polygon
Uneven many-sided figure
An irregular polygon is a polygon whose sides are not all the same length or whose angles are not all equal.
Most polygons encountered in everyday life—the outline of a state on a map, a plot of land, a stone tile—are irregular.
The term distinguishes these shapes from regular polygons like equilateral triangles or squares, where all sides and angles match.
