rectory

Parish priest's home

A rectory is the residence of a rector—typically a clergyman in the Anglican or Episcopal church.

The term evokes a substantial house near or attached to a church, often historic and somewhat grand: The new priest moved into the rectory beside St. Michael's.

In Catholic contexts, the equivalent is usually called a parsonage or presbytery.
