raceway
Oval for speedsters
A raceway is a channel or passage for water, especially one directing flow to a mill wheel or turbine.
In aquaculture, it's a narrow tank where fish are raised in flowing water.
The term also applies to a track for racing—cars, horses, or dogs.
In electrical work, a raceway is a conduit or trough that encloses and protects wiring: The electrician ran cable through the raceway.
