wireway
Enclosed wiring passage
A wireway is a metal or plastic channel that houses and protects electrical wires, typically used in industrial and commercial buildings.
Unlike conduit, which encloses individual wire runs, wireways are rectangular troughs with removable covers that allow access along their entire length: The electrician ran cables through the wireway above the factory floor.
