put-in

Enter the harbor

A put-in is the place where you launch a boat into the water, especially for kayaking, canoeing, or rafting: We parked near the put-in and unloaded the canoes.

The corresponding endpoint is called a take-out.

Put-in also refers to the act of launching: The put-in was tricky because of the steep bank.
