stalker
Obsessive, unwelcome follower
A stalker is someone who pursues another person obsessively and uninvited—following them, monitoring their movements, or repeatedly contacting them despite clear signals to stop.
The term carries criminal connotations: She got a restraining order against her stalker.
More casually, stalker describes someone who monitors another's social media with unusual intensity: I'm not a stalker, I just looked at his Instagram.
The verb is stalk.
