broadhead
Wide arrow tip
A broadhead is an arrowhead with wide, sharp blades designed to cut a large wound channel, used primarily in bowhunting.
Unlike target points, which are narrow and conical, broadheads maximize tissue damage to ensure a quick kill: He switched to a three-blade broadhead for deer season.
They come in fixed-blade and mechanical varieties, the latter deploying on impact.
