wolf
Canine pack hunter
A wolf is a large wild canine that hunts in packs, native to wilderness regions of North America, Europe, and Asia.
The wolf figures prominently in folklore and idiom: a wolf in sheep's clothing is a dangerous person disguised as harmless, and to cry wolf is to raise false alarms.
To wolf food is to eat it ravenously: He wolfed down his dinner.
A wolf can also be a man who aggressively pursues women.
