great white shark
Ocean's apex predator
A great white shark is a large predatory shark found in coastal waters worldwide, recognized by its white underside, gray upper body, and rows of serrated teeth.
It is among the largest predatory fish and is responsible for more recorded attacks on humans than any other shark species: Great whites patrol the waters off Cape Cod.
Despite its fearsome reputation, unprovoked attacks remain rare.
