killer whale

Black-white dolphin

A killer whale is a large black-and-white toothed whale found in all oceans, the largest member of the dolphin family.

Also called orca.

Despite their name, they rarely attack humans in the wild, though they hunt seals, fish, and other whales in coordinated groups.

We watched killer whales breach near the boat.
