glute bridge
Supine hip raise
A glute bridge is a strength exercise performed by lying face-up with knees bent and feet flat on the floor, then lifting the hips toward the ceiling by squeezing the gluteal muscles.
The movement targets the glutes, hamstrings, and lower back while also engaging the core.
It's a foundational exercise in physical therapy and fitness programs, often used to activate the posterior chain before more demanding lifts or to build hip stability.
I do glute bridges as part of my warm-up routine.
