pelvic tilt

Spine-hip alignment shift

Pelvic tilt is the angle of the pelvis relative to the spine, or the movement that changes this angle.

In exercise and physical therapy, a pelvic tilt is a deliberate adjustment—tilting the hips forward (anterior) or backward (posterior) to correct posture, strengthen core muscles, or relieve back pain: Do ten pelvic tilts before getting out of bed.
