expulsion
Getting thrown out
Expulsion is the act of forcing someone or something out.
A student faces expulsion from school for serious misconduct.
A country may order the expulsion of foreign diplomats.
The word applies to physical ejection too: the expulsion of air from the lungs, the expulsion of waste from the body.
Where dismissal might be voluntary, expulsion implies forcible removal.
