endorsing
Giving official approval
Endorsing is expressing public support or approval for something or someone: The union is endorsing the Democratic candidate.
It can also mean signing the back of a check to cash or deposit it, or adding one's signature to a document to validate it.
A celebrity endorsing a product lends their name and reputation to promote it.
