cosigning

Backing another's loan

Cosigning is vouching for someone or backing them up, especially in informal contexts: I'm cosigning everything she just said.

The term comes from the formal sense of co-signing a loan—taking shared legal responsibility for someone else's debt—but has spread to mean any endorsement or agreement: I can't cosign that behavior.
