kudos

Credit for success

Kudos is praise or credit for an achievement: Kudos to the team for finishing early.

The word comes from Greek and is singular, though the final -s makes it look plural—kudos is rather than kudos are, though the latter appears often.

Some speakers treat kudo as a back-formed singular: That deserves a kudo.
