Subterranean hare complex
A warren is a network of interconnected underground tunnels where rabbits live and breed.
By extension, any crowded, maze-like space can be called a warren: a warren of narrow streets, the apartment was a warren of tiny rooms.
The word originally referred to a piece of land set aside for breeding small game.
