cattleman
Beef herd tender
A cattleman is a person who raises or tends cattle, especially on a large scale.
The term evokes the ranching culture of the American West—open range, grazing land, livestock management: The cattlemen drove their herds north to market.
Though historically male-dominated, the occupation includes women; cattlewoman exists but sees limited use.
