herding
Moving animals together
Herding is the activity of moving, controlling, or tending a group of animals, typically livestock like cattle, sheep, or goats.
The term extends to any effort to guide a group in a particular direction, often with an implication of difficulty: Organizing the kids for the photo was like herding cats.
Herding dogs are breeds trained specifically for this work, using instinct and commands to keep animals together and moving.
