tending
Caring for something
Tending is caring for or looking after something that needs attention: tending the garden, tending bar, tending to the sick.
It also describes inclination or movement in a direction: The conversation was tending toward politics, prices tending upward.
Both senses share the idea of directing attention or motion toward something.
