capybara
Largest living rodent
A capybara is a large South American rodent—the world's largest, reaching about 130 pounds.
These semiaquatic animals live near water in groups and have become internet favorites for their calm, friendly demeanor.
They're often photographed lounging with other animals: The capybara sat unbothered as birds perched on its back.
