warm-blooded

Self-regulating body temperature

Warm-blooded describes animals that maintain a constant internal body temperature regardless of their environment—mammals and birds, as opposed to cold-blooded reptiles and fish.

Figuratively, warm-blooded means passionate or emotionally intense: a warm-blooded response to injustice.

It can also simply emphasize being human and alive: Any warm-blooded person would be tempted.
