kinkajou

Tropical tree mammal

A kinkajou is a small, nocturnal mammal native to Central and South American rainforests.

It has a long prehensile tail, golden-brown fur, and a fondness for fruit and honey—earning it the nickname "honey bear." Despite appearances, kinkajous are related to raccoons, not primates: A kinkajou hung by its tail from a branch.
