birthing
Bringing forth offspring
Birthing is the process of giving birth, used as a noun or adjective: a birthing center, birthing classes, the birthing process.
The term gained currency in the late twentieth century as natural childbirth movements sought warmer, less clinical language than delivery or parturition.
She was in the birthing suite for six hours.
