barbecuer

Charcoal pit master

A barbecuer is someone who barbecues—cooking food over an open flame or hot coals, typically outdoors.

The term applies both to casual backyard grillers and to pitmasters who spend hours smoking meat: He's the family's designated barbecuer at summer cookouts.
