animal
Zoo exhibit, perhaps
An animal is a living organism that can move, eat, and reproduce, distinguished from plants by the ability to respond rapidly to stimuli.
The word covers everything from insects to elephants, though in casual use it often excludes humans: Animals can't talk.
When applied to a person, animal suggests crude or brutish behavior, or alternatively, intense physicality: He's an animal on the basketball court.
As an adjective, animal relates to physical rather than spiritual nature: animal instincts, animal desires.
