keeper
One who watches
A keeper is someone who keeps—a person who maintains, guards, or has charge of something: a zookeeper, a beekeeper, a goalkeeper, the keeper of records.
In sports, a keeper is a goalkeeper.
Informally, a keeper is something worth keeping—a fish large enough to keep rather than throw back, or a person worth holding onto: He's a keeper.
