Slow armored crawler
A turtle is a reptile with a protective shell into which it can withdraw its head and limbs.
In American English, turtle covers both land and aquatic species; British English reserves turtle for sea-dwelling types and uses tortoise for land species.
To turtle or turn turtle is to flip upside down, like a capsized boat.
In computing, turtle graphics teach programming by moving a cursor that draws lines as it goes.
