alcoholic
With intoxicating spirits
Alcoholic describes something containing or relating to alcohol: alcoholic beverages, alcoholic content.
As a noun, an alcoholic is a person addicted to alcohol—someone whose drinking has become compulsive and damaging.
The term carries clinical weight but also stigma; some prefer "person with alcohol use disorder." His father was an alcoholic who couldn't hold a job.
