Pyramids of Giza
Ancient desert monuments
The Pyramids of Giza are three ancient Egyptian monuments on the outskirts of Cairo, built as royal tombs around 2500 BCE.
The largest, the Great Pyramid, was the world's tallest structure for nearly four thousand years.
The pyramids remain among the most recognized landmarks on Earth, the sole surviving wonder of the ancient world: We visited the Pyramids of Giza at sunset.
