Thames
Capital's major river
The Thames is the principal river of southern England, flowing through London to the North Sea.
It appears constantly in British literature, history, and idiom.
To set the Thames on fire (usually in the negative) means to do something remarkable: He's competent enough, but he'll never set the Thames on fire.
