Sir
Dubbed man's title
Sir is a British title preceding the first name of a knight or baronet: Sir Elton John, Sir Isaac Newton.
The title is always used with the first name, never the surname alone—Sir Elton, not Sir John.
It also appears in formal address to judges and other officials in Commonwealth countries. (Lowercase sir is a general term of respect.)
