Edward VI
Tudor boy king
Edward VI was King of England and Ireland from 1547 until his death in 1553, ascending to the throne at age nine.
The only surviving son of Henry VIII, his brief reign saw England's decisive turn toward Protestantism under the regency of powerful advisors.
He died at fifteen, probably of tuberculosis.
