Mr.
Male courtesy prefix
Mr. is a title of respect or formality placed before a man's name: Mr. Johnson will see you now.
It precedes either a full name or surname alone, never a first name by itself.
The title applies regardless of marital status, unlike the female equivalents Mrs. and Miss.
Mr. President and Mr. Chairman address men holding those positions.
Plural: Messrs.
