Python

Indentation-based programming language

Python is a widely used programming language known for its readable syntax and versatility.

Created in 1991, it dominates in data science, machine learning, web development, and automation: I wrote a Python script to rename all my files.

The name comes from Monty Python, the British comedy troupe, not the snake—though snake imagery pervades the language's culture.

Python may also refer to the troupe itself, usually as Monty Python. (Lowercase python is the snake.)
