royal python
Coiled African constrictor
A royal python is a nonvenomous snake native to West and Central Africa, also called a ball python for its habit of curling into a tight ball when threatened.
It's among the most popular pet snakes due to its docile temperament and manageable size, typically reaching four to five feet.
Breeders have developed numerous color and pattern variations called morphs.
