ankylosaurus

Tank-like prehistoric reptile

Ankylosaurus was a heavily armored dinosaur of the late Cretaceous period, built low to the ground with bony plates covering its back and a massive club at the end of its tail.

The name means "fused lizard," referring to the fused bones in its skull and armor.

It was herbivorous and tank-like, designed for defense rather than speed.
