eons
Geologic time spans
Eons is a vast stretch of time, typically spanning millions or billions of years.
In geology, an eon is the largest division of Earth's history.
More loosely, eons describes any period that feels immeasurably long: I haven't seen her in eons, It took eons for the food to arrive.
Also spelled aeons.
