Henry Hudson

Henry Hudson was an English explorer of the early 17th century who searched for a northern passage to Asia.

His voyages charted much of northeastern North America, including the river, bay, and strait that bear his name.

On his final expedition in 1611, his crew mutinied and set him adrift in the Canadian bay; he was never seen again.
