James Bay

Hudson's southern arm

James Bay is a large southern extension of Hudson Bay in northeastern Canada, bordered by Ontario and Quebec.

The bay is shallow and rich in wildlife, significant for Indigenous communities and hydroelectric development.

The James Bay Project, a massive series of dams on rivers flowing into the bay, generates much of Quebec's electricity.
