Haifa

Mediterranean Israeli city

Haifa is a port city in northern Israel, the country's third-largest metropolitan area.

Built on the slopes of Mount Carmel along the Mediterranean coast, it serves as Israel's main industrial port and a center of technology and higher education.

The city is known for the Bahá'í World Centre and its terraced gardens: We spent the morning in Haifa before heading to Tel Aviv.
